Project overview:

The Sterling Department of Public Works required a septic system replacement due to the expansion of their current facility. The project included a new septic tank as well as a pump chamber with a 2-inch force main to a new leaching area consisting of three leaching trenches with a retaining wall and vent pipe. Hannigan Engineering, Inc. also worked with the client to obtain the necessary approvals relative to the local planning board regulations, the Wetlands Protection Act, the Watershed Protection Act and Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) review.
